Introduction to Document Repository
This section holds the links for the Metropolitan State University Systems Portfolio.  Some of these are URL links to the University's website ("related links").  Others are "Documents that have been uploaded from the University's AQIP document repository.  When updating a document in the University's AQIP document repository, the document update must be saved under the same name and then re-uploaded into the Systems Portfolio Documents Repository.  You do NOT need to change anything else in the document (i.e., links pointing to this document in the Systems Portfolio Document Repository) as the link stayed the same, only the document contents changed.

When a University URL changes on the website, similarly the link must be updated in the Systems Portfolio Document Repository.  Again, the link elsewhere in the Systems Portfolio points to the same Document Repository link so that only the one change needs to be made (the uploading of the new URL) in order to update all links pointing to this URL in the Systems Portfolio.

2005-2007 Information Technology Plan

Background

During the 2004-2005 academic year, Metropolitan State University’s Information Technology (herein after called ‘IT’) Steering Committee produced this plan based partially upon past planning efforts and results, which included the MnSCU Information Technology Strategic Planning Initiatives conducted in 1999 and 2002, plus the Metropolitan State University’s 2001 - 2003 IT and 2003 – 2005 IT Strategic Plans.  The IT Steering Committee also reviewed progress towards the current year annual objectives as part of this planning effort.

Planning Process Results Chain
Results Chain: A results-chain is a systematic approach for linking operational outcomes/benefits and resources while considering all of the required conditions for benefit realization. It is a process of exploiting current and future assets to drive out the operational benefits.

Managing outcome/benefits includes all that is required to deliver the desired results. Making the different components of the operational solution more visible, provides a higher probability of success.
